The Solo Flight Course is a refined flight program that covers everything you need to become a beginner and competetant pilot. Instruction normally takes about 4-10 days -- sometimes longer, sometimes shorter -- depending on weather and student progression. The course will cover terminology and maintenance of the complete gear, basic meteorology (weather to fly in), aviation regulations, inflation techniques (forward and reverse), work with a engine, launch and landing techniques, simulator work, short tows, a tandem flight (if possible), and of course launching, flying, and landing. Supervised instruction is provided as long as the student needs, or up to 15 flights.
The Cross-Over Course is a 2 to 4 session program for PG (paraglider) pilots to learn Powered Paragliding (footlaunched or with the wheels) or for existing Powered Paragliding pilots to switch over to footlaunched or the wheels.
Hourly and Per Day Instruction focuses on finding areas where to improve and build experience and confidence. We will provide focused attention to where you need or want to improve on your own equipment, such as: ground handling; launch and landing techniques, flight technique; maintenance issues; working on flight emergency procedures; refining skill-sets of. We can work on specific skill-sets, such as spot landing, towing clinic, and other areas of improvement. Additional charges may apply to use Airparamo gear in connection to this instruction.
Everyone progresses at a different rate, so the necessary time will be taken with you to insure you learn properly and fly safely before you are encouraged to fly by yourself. Students may spread out instruction over several weekends if desired.
Because it is best to learn on the equipment one will actually fly in the future, students are encouraged to purchase or have their own equipment to do this complete courses.
