What a day!
Ideal conditions: warm in the low 70's, 8-10 mph steady winds, and no cloud cover. Bill, my infant son Benjamin, and I met at 3:45 and soon after Dila showed up with his son. My wife showed up around 5pm. Also, a car pulled up with some folks who said they saw us flying from the highway and wanted to check out the fun.
I was the first in the air with a nice reverse launch. Bill kited for a bit before taking to the air. I did a bunch of passes for the audience, doing a series of touch-and-go's. All in all I must have done over 10 touch-and-go's and 5 flights with over an hour and a half of flight. In fact when I was ready to land at sunset, my wing refused to want to come down. I obliged and took off for a short pass around the field before convincing my wing that I really need to go. This was a great day for me for low ground maneuver practice, powered landings, spot landings, and practicing precision throttle and brake control. This was a really great flying day.
